Tuesday's forecast: Cold front moving in

Chance of showers, high of 86 for your Tuesday.

HOUSTON -

Expect changes in our weather forecast over the next 36 hours.

A cold front is starting to sweep into Texas. It will sag into our area Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.

Ahead of the front later in the day, we have a 30 percent chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms. Behind the front, we have a 40 percent chance of showers late Tuesday through Wednesday.

The front will drop our temperatures. The cooler air will start to trickle in Wednesday with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Tuesday though, it will be warm and muggy. Houston should hit around 86 degrees and Galveston will be warming up to around 85 degrees.

The rest of the week will feel like fall.

On Wednesday, the high temperature will be in the low to mid 70s with mostly cloudy skies.

Thursday will be drier with a 20 percent chance of rain and partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the mid 70s.
