Scott Kazmir signs with Sugar Land Skeeters; Slated to Start Sunday

Baseball sources tell KPRC Local 2 Sports in Houston the Sugar Land Skeeters have signed former Major Leaguer and Houston High school star pitcher Scott Kazmir .  

  Sources with knowledge of the process, tell KPRC that Kazmir signed his contract Friday afternoon before throwing a bullpen session.    According to the source,  Kazmir, who played at Cy Falls HS,  will get his contract approved by the Atlantic League and will make his first start Sunday at Constellation Field against Bridgeport.

 Kazmir, who was drafted 15th overall out of High School played has played for the Rays and Angels and has a 66-61 career Major League Record. He had other opportunities but recently decided signing with Sugar Land would be his best route
