HOUSTON -

Astros owner Jim Crane watched his team win its opener Sunday at Minute Maid Park against the Rangers.

Crane also addressed the Astros future Spring Training and affiliate plans.

Crane told reporters at Minute Maid Park that the organization remains intent on attempting to relocate their AAA affiliate to an area that would be centered North of The Woodlands towards Conroe.. Creating an appropriate distance away from Minute Maid Park would be a factor in the process.

The Astros partnership with Oklahoma City, their Triple-A affiliate, will expire in 2014.

A report from ballparkdigest.com also reported the Astros would like to partner with the Toronto Blue Jays and relocate their Spring home to the Palm Beach, Florida area.

Crane has yet to confirm specific details of the team or location.

Ballparkdigest.com also reported that Crane's group has been in negotiations with officials from the New Orleans Zephyrs about purchasing that club which would in turn be moved.

The Astros longtime home has been Kissimmee, Florida and their lease will expire in 2016.
