HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened around 1 a.m. Saturday on Mangum Road near W. 18th Street.
Police say they found a dead white man who had suffered a gunshot wound to his head in a white pickup truck in the turning lane at a traffic light on Mangum Road.

Witnesses told investigators they saw a black Ford F-150 pull alongside the victim's vehicle and fire at least one round into the white truck. Authorities say the black truck was driven by a Hispanic man with an unknown passenger.
Officials say the black truck sped away in an unknown direction.
The case remains under investigation by HPD and no suspects are in custody.
