Man seen on surveillance video using credit card stolen from gym locker

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Fort Bend County Crimes Stoppers, Inc. will pay a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in two theft cases at a gym that led to credit card fraud.

At 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 29, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the LA Fitness, located in the 9000 block of Highway 6 South in the Houston area, regarding a theft.

A customer at LA Fitness told deputies someone broke into his locker and stole a cell phone, a pair of designer sunglasses and the keys to his vehicle. The total loss surpassed $1,000, but the suspect also used the victim's car keys to obtain the victim's checkbook. 

The thief broke into another locker and stole a wallet which contained credit cards. He later used one of the credit cards at the Target in Sugar Land at U.S. 59. He attempted to use a check in another area store and it was declined, deputies say.

The suspect was driving a newer-model black mid-sized SUV, possibly an Infiniti. He is described as 30 to 40 years of age, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds.

He had short black hair and was wearing a light blue short-sleeved polo shirt, dark blue workout pants and green/blue-colored shoes. He also had a dark-colored lanyard hanging from his neck.

Anyone with information should call the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477). Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.  All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
