Jan. 26, 2014: A Stafford police officer who was shot in the face while chasing down two suspects is getting a special honor. Bill Spencer reports.

STAFFORD, Texas -

The Stafford police officer who was shot in the face while chasing down two suspects is getting a special honor.

Officer Ann Marie Carrizales was shot in the face while chasing down three suspects back in October. Despite her injuries, Carrizales did not let them get away.

The mother and former marine will attend President Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday night in Washington, D.C.

Carrizales will be the guest of Texas Congressman Pete Olson.
