FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas -

Authorities are searching for the suspect involved in an attempted abduction of a child in the Richmond area.

On Jan. 31, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies say they were notified about the incident, which actually occurred on Jan. 24 in the River City RV Park located off of FM 762.

The 9-year-old girl told deputies she did not report the incident to her mother because she "did not want to scare her." She finally told her parents on Jan. 31.

According to deputies, the girl says she was walking by the wash room in the park when she was approached by a white male who asked her if she wanted to go to his house. The victim said she repeatedly said "no" and began to walk away.

At that point, she says the suspect grabbed her upper am. She pulled away from the man and ran to her home. She did not suffer any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as at white male between 5 foot 9 and 6 feet tall with a thin build. He is estimated to be around 20 years old and was wearing a dark blue work shirt with no writing on it, and khaki pants. She said he did not have any facial hair and his hair was short, but not shaved. He also had a tattoo of a skull in black on his right forearm.

The victim said she had never seen him before and has not seen him since.
