Severe weather possible up north; strong gusts of wind; high near 76 degrees

HOUSTON -

Pockets of light to moderate rain will continue to move in from the south Sunday morning.

By midday, there is a chance of strong storms developing as the moisture crosses to the northern counties.

Severe weather could develop North of I-10 into Grimes, Montgomery and Liberty Counties on North.

The biggest threats with today's severe thunderstorms will be strong gusts up to 70 mph and hail 2 inches or greater.

It will be foggy and expect drizzle/mist with today's low clouds.

Temperatures will rise into the mid 70s this afternoon with breezy conditions.

Houston your expected high is 76 degrees. Galveston will be around 74 degrees. Along the coast, it will be foggy at least until early afternoon.

Overnight, there is a slight chance of rain, around 20 percent, for the area with mostly cloudy skies.

Monday, there is a 20 percent change of rain with partly cloudy conditions and a high of 70 degrees.
