ACRES HOMES, Texas – A horse the Houston Humane Society rescued Tuesday evening is doing better.
We're told the horse survived its first night at the Houston Humane Society.

It collapsed as someone was riding it in the middle of West Montgomery Road in Acres Homes on Houston's northwest side.
The Humane Society says the horse is malnourished, about 250 pounds underweight.
The animal's owner was arrested for two outstanding warrants and could face cruelty charges.
