Check out our second annual Puppy Bowl with the help of the Houston Humane Society.

HOUSTON -

Football has gone to the dogs!

The second annual Puppy Bowl was held on Friday during Local 2 News at 4.

Anchors Lauren Freeman and Keith Garvin went head-to-head with the help of adorable puppies from the Houston Humane Society.

Chief Meteorologist Frank Billingsley served as referee for the event.

Lauren represented Team Broncos and Keith represented Team Seahawks.

The anchors each chose one puppy from a litter of eight.

The puppies from the Houston Humane Society are boxer mixes, about eight weeks old.

In the end, Keith's puppy was the first to reach the end zone, meaning the Seattle Seahawks are predicted to win Super Bowl XLVIII.

The puppies are available for adoption at the Houston Humane Society.
