HPD calls for extra manpower to fight Sharpstown apartment fire

HOUSTON – Firefighters called for a two-alarm response to a fire at an apartment complex in Sharpstown Thursday night. 

According to the Houston Fire Department, crews found heavy fire and smoke showing from a single building when the arrived on scene. They requested additional companies to assist. The flames were under control a short time later.

There were no injuries reported. HFD's Arson Bureau is investigating what caused the fire.
