HOUSTON -

A man was arrested early Monday morning after a police chase that ended at an apartment complex.

Just after 3:25 a.m., a Houston police patrol unit tried to pull the man over for speeding in a neighborhood near the University of Houston.

The man took off and led police on a chase.

He eventually baled out of the car and made a run for it at an apartment complex on Anita and Milby Streets.

A K-9 unit was called in to search for the man.

The dogs eventually tracked him to an apartment building where he was discovered hiding in an attic.

The man was taken into custody without incident.

Police said the suspect is now facing charges of evading arrest and possession of marijuana.
