Pasadena police believe they have found two thieves responsible for a string of purse thefts.

Since July 19, there have been five incidents where women's purses were forcibly taken from them in parking lots of the Walmart and Target store parking lots. In one case, the victim was carrying her one-year-old daughter and was thrown to the ground.

Pasadena police detectives did surveillance on local parking lots, and eventually arrested two suspects. Auna Ray Griffin and Engwin Hall Williams are both charged with Robbery - Bodily Injury.

During the arrest, Pasadena investigators discovered a digital camera. The memory card in the camera contains photos of a young couple who appear to on vacation.

Late Friday afternoon, Pasadena police say they identified the couple, who came forward due to media coverage, and investigators say their case will further enhance the case against the two suspects.

Detectives said the arrests cleared five cases in Pasadena. They believe the suspects could be responsible for five more purse thefts in Houston.
