Parents demand answers at Spring ISD board meeting

Sept. 10, 2013: The first Spring ISD Board meeting was held Tuesday night since the stabbing on Sept. 4. Jennifer Bauer reports.

SPRING, Texas -

The first Spring ISD Board meeting was held Tuesday night since the stabbing on Sept. 4.

District administrators said there have been no other incidents or problems inside Spring High School.

School officials announced that they will be adding additional metal detectors to help move the lines quicker.

Right now, the school is using six and they will increase to seven. There will also be metal detecting hand wands available if needed.

School officials said there have been more police officers added to other schools around the district and there will be a noticeable police presence at extra curricular activities this week, including the football game.
