On Wednesday, we could learn if Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport will get automated passport kiosks.

It's a program already in place at Chicago O'Hare International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency runs the kiosks.

The kiosks are aimed at helping passengers expedite processing during international travel.

Passengers can use the self-service kiosk to scan their own passport and complete their declaration forms before reaching a checkpoint.

The Houston City Council is expected to vote Wednesday whether to allow them at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
