HOUSTON -

A mother of a little girl who is presumed dead was back in court on Monday.

Sabrina Deleon is charged with injury to a child and tampering with evidence surrounding the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter, Leonna Ramierez

Investigators said Deleon’s daughter has not been seen since 2012.

Deleon is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to be assigned an attorney.

Child Protective Services has been involved with Deleon several times. All of her children at one point were in foster care, including her missing 3-year-old daughter who was placed in foster care as a newborn. Officials said Deleon recently regained custody.

According to deputies, Deleon admitted to investigators that her little girl got sick died last year, and that she threw her body away in the trash.

There have been conflicting reports as to what happened to the little girl. According to court documents, Deleon's mother said Sabrina told her CPS had taken the child after she took Leonna to a hospital.

Tim Miller with Texas Equusearch said his organization would help search for the girl’s body if asked.
