Man's body found near George Bush Park

Dec. 3, 2013: A man's body was found near George Bush Park Tuesday morning. Amanda Perez reports.


Officials believe the man whose body was found near the levee in George Bush Park took his own life.

The Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office says the body was found Tuesday morning in the 3600 block of Barker Cypress near FM 1093.

A Houston police homicide investigator said the victim, believed to be in his mid 20s, suffered a single gunshot wound. Officials said there were no signs of foul play and believe he suffered a self inflicted wound.

This investigation is ongoing to determine an official cause of death.
