Man sought in armed robbery of local pet store

Surveillance video of an armed man who robbed employees at a local pet store has been released in the hopes of identifying the suspect.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -

Surveillance video of an armed man who robbed employees at a local pet store has been released in the hopes of identifying the suspect.

The robbery happened at the PetSmart at 7050 north Highway 6 on April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in west Harris County. Investigators say the suspect forced his way in after the store was closed as an employee was returning from emptying the trash.

The man held the manager and another employee at gunpoint, demanding the money from the store safe.

The suspect then exited the business and fled on foot towards Glen Chase Drive.

No employees were injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, tall with a thin build 18 to 25 years old, wearing a long-sleeved black T-shirt and black pants. He wore a black baseball hat and a red blank face mask.
