HOUSTON -

Harris County sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that happened during a home invasion robbery in northwest Harris County on Saturday.

According to investigators, a group of people were gathering in the back of a residence in the 19500 block of Franz Road when a suspect made it into the backyard and tried to rob them.

Investigators said the man was wearing gloves and a mask. He ordered everyone to the ground and demanded they strip to their underwear.

Investigators said one of the victims, a young man, was shot by the suspect after he resisted. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition and is expected to survive his injuries.

One person was detained in the area but investigators have not yet been able to determine if he was involved in the shooting.
