GALVESTON, Texas -

There is nothing like seeing Santa make an entrance with a parachute, and that was just the beginning of how Moody Gardens kicked off the annual Festival of Lights celebration.

Saturday kicked off the 12th annual Festival of Lights celebration, which has become a holiday tradition for families and friends.

Festival goers can enjoy more than one million lights within one hundred sound enhanced light displays along with the outdoor ice skating rink.

The festival runs Thursday, Nov. 22 through Saturday, Dec. 7 and nightly from Dec. 12 through Jan. 4.
