HOUSTON – A person is in the hospital after a driver lost control and crashed into a ditch on North Lake Houston Parkway around midnight on Sunday.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says weather played a factor as a driver veered off the road, slammed into a ditch, and flipped the car onto its side.

The passenger inside the car was rushed to the hospital via Life Flight in serious condition while the driver was OK.
Police say the driver faces possible charges as alcohol was involved.
Authorities are still investigating the case.
