HOUSTON -

The Harris County Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that destroyed the interior of a home in Northeast Harris County.

It all started Thursday around 11:55 p.m. on Currin Forest and Kings Grove Drives.

According to firefighters, the one-story home was fully engulfed in flames by the time they arrived.

Firefighters made a fast attack and quickly got the fire under control.

Investigators say, the homeowners had left the home about an hour before the fire started and still weren't home by the time the blaze was put out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

It is believed that the fire started in the back of the home, possibly in the kitchen
