June 21, 2013: Police said a northeast Houston couple was asleep early Friday when three men broke into their home. Mark Boyle reports.

HOUSTON -

Police said a northeast Houston couple was asleep in their home early Friday with their baby just a few feet away, when they heard a loud noise coming from the back door.

The home is on Fitch Street near 59.

Police said the father woke up and made his way to the living room.  At that point, he saw three armed men storm into his home.

According to detectives, the father ran to his bedroom, shut and locked the door, and his wife dialed 911. By the time police arrived, the armed suspects had taken off.  Investigators said they questioned whether the gunmen may have picked the wrong home because nothing was stolen.

Meanwhile, no one in the home was hurt.

Houston police continue to search for the suspects involved. At this point, investigators have not been able to provide a detailed description of those involved.
