LA PORTE, Texas -

Police say a woman was arrested for drug possession after she was acting erratically at a store in La Porte.

Police say on March 15, La Porte officers responded to the Walgreens store in the 9700 block of Spencer Highway for a suspicious circumstances call. The witness told police a woman was acting erratically in the store and said the woman appeared to be intoxicated.

La Porte police say officers made a seizure of drugs and more than $16,000.

Stephanie Forman, of Hampshire, was arrested. Forman, 39, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for possession of Xanax, and felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver for methamphetamine.

La Porte police say an investigation revealed an arrest warrant for Christopher Scholes, 41, issued out of Deer Park.

Editor's Note: La Porte police initially released information that Christopher Scholes was also arrested on drug charges, but La Porte police now say that information was incorrect. They say Scholes was only taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
