HOUSTON -

It was essentially Danielle Bradbery Day as the semi-finalist on NBC's hit show The Voice made her way home to Cypress to film a special segment for next week's broadcast.

On her first trip home since March, Bradbery was greeted with her very own pep rally complete with the school's band, cheerleaders, and even a serenade for the budding superstar.

"It's really cool because they get to see me live and I've never sang in this school before," said Bradbery.

But the day for the 16 year-old was just getting started. After spending a little time with family, friends and mainly with the production crew from The Voice, Bradbery was able to fulfill a longtime dream.

In what was a surprise for her hometown trip Bradbery got to sing the National Anthem before first pitch for the Astros game.

Bradbery and her mother both say this was a much-need break away from the whirlwind adventure that The Voice has become.

"She loves what she's doing and the experience, she does miss home," said Bradbery's mom Gloria Martinez. "So, I knew that she needed this for her own well being. It was good for her soul, I'm glad it happened."

"It's like a stress reliever," said Bradbery. "To just come home and I can just reactivate everything and just come out there even harder to win this thing for everybody."
