After months of hard work and performances that captured hearts across America, Cypress' Danielle Bradbery is one step away from what was once an unimaginable dream: Winning Season 4 of NBC's hit show "The Voice."
The 16-year-old, the youngest contestant this season, is hours away from the biggest performance of her young life.
It will determine if she'll be the winner of $100,000, topped off with a recording contract.
Danielle has seen a change in herself over the past few months and one thing she won't be Monday night is nervous.
"It's crazy how shy I was to now, how open I am," said Danielle. "I just love going out there and showing everybody who Danielle is."
Beside her every step of the way has been the person who knows her best, Danielle's mother Gloria Martinez. She's the one who surprised Danielle by signing her up for "The Voice" audition last summer.
"We're beyond words. How excited we are to be here," said Martinez.
Martinez calls the past year challenging. Auditions began last July There were more auditions in September, and finally the show itself - which started in March.
Martinez said she's seen her daughter mature and they both know, regardless of Tuesday's outcome, she's ready for the spotlight.
"Now that she's got a taste of it and a feeling, how she feels. That is her passion, she comes alive on stage, and this absolutely what she wants to do," said Martinez.
