Caught on camera: Yawning man robs clothing store

Investigators hope someone will recognize the yawning man caught on surveillance video just minutes before he allegedly demanded cash from the register.

HOUSTON -

Crime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff's Office have teamed up to find a suspect in a clothing store robbery.

The crime happened at approximately 5 p.m. on Jan. 9 at Clothes Max in the 2400 block of Fry Road.

Surveillance video shows the suspect enter the store, yawning and stretching in front of the camera.

Witnesses say the man then approached the service counter, pulling a hat from a bag and placing it on his head.

According to investigators, the man said he had a gun and demanded all the cash from the register.

The worker gave him the money, and the suspect left the store, investigators say.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston. The phone number is 713-222-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspect in this case.
