Car theft leads to fiery crash in NE Harris County

June 22, 2013: A woman's vehicle that was stolen from a Walgreen's parking lot ended up in a fiery crash with a motorcycle. Jennifer Bauer reports.

HOUSTON -

A fiery car crash had the intersection of Uvalde Road and Woodforest Boulevard shut down for several hours Saturday night.

A Harris County Sheriff's deputy on scene told Local 2 a woman at the Walgreen's store on the corner came outside to find someone stealing her Jeep. 

Deputies said the suspect pulled out of the parking lot and hit a man on a motorcycle. The Jeep caught fire and the suspect jumped out and took off running.

As of 10 p.m. Saturday, deputies were still looking for him.

The motorcyclist was badly hurt and taken to the hospital. There is currently no word on his condition.
