Nov. 27, 2012: Deputies arrest two men after a homeowner uses her phone to see them stealing inside her home, according to authorities. Jennifer Bauer reports.

HOUSTON -

Two men were arrested after a homeowner used her cellphone to see them stealing items inside her house, according to authorities.

On Tuesday afternoon, a woman received a call from ADT Security telling her that her alarm at her house on Terrace Oaks Drive had been set off. At work at the time, the homeowner tapped into her high-tech security system from her cellphone.

"She was able to see the burglars coming down the stairs," said Georgia Gray, a friend and co-worker of the homeowner. "It was really surreal because you know, this is her home. She felt really violated and nervous and scared."

The homeowner dialed the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said they found the two suspected thieves a few blocks away. They were inside a car with several stolen items, investigators said.

It's unclear if everything came from one house or several, but the case remains under investigation. The two suspects face burglary charges, authorities said.

The homeowner told KPRC Local 2 she didn't know what was stolen from her house because she still had to take inventory and then report anything missing to deputies.
