Dec. 3, 2012: A woman in west Houston is robbed in front of her own home. Ryan Korsgard reports.

A woman in west Houston was robbed in front of her own home Saturday.

The robbery happened on Cedar Pass about 10 p.m.

A woman and her husband had just come home from dinner when a man ran up, grabbed her purse, pushed her down and took off.

"I had gotten out of the car and I was turning around and I was closing the door and then this guy comes out of nowhere on my left side. (He) grabs my purse and says, 'Give me this,'" said the victim. "I started screaming and he was gone. He was running down the street. I ran into the house and my husband came in after me and we called the constable."

The thief stole her iPhone, purse, credit cards and driver's license.

The Houston Police Department is now investigating this crime.

A description of the man has not been released.
