HOUSTON -

Trader Joe's opened another Houston-area store on Friday.

The 14,000-square-foot grocery store opened at 8 a.m. in the Memorial area at 1440 South Voss Road.

Throughout the grocery store, there are several hand-painted murals that pay homage to the area and include Memorial Park, Buffalo Bayou, the Houston Skyline, Sam Houston, and more.

A ceremonial lei-cutting welcomed new customers. The celebration will continue throughout the day with live music and food demonstrations.

The store will be open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.

Trader Joe's opened its first store in the Houston area in June in the Woodlands. A second store followed in the historic Alabama Theater located in the 2900 block of South Shepherd Drive.

Trader Joe's has more than 365 stores in 32 states.
