April 11, 2012: Thieves target a north Houston CVS by using tools to break in through the roof and lowering themselves into the store by a rope. Damon Sales reports.

HOUSTON -

Police are looking for the crooks who targeted a north Houston CVS Pharmacy.

Officers responded to an alarm call at the store off the North Freeway and F.M. 249 around 2:45 a.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, they found someone had used tools to go through the roof of the store to get in.

Investigators said the thieves cut the hole and lowered themselves into the store with a rope.

A Houston Fire Department ladder truck had to be called to the scene, so police could get on the roof.

It is not known what was taken, but damage to the store was extensive.

Police hope surveillance cameras at the store caught part of the burglary and can help them catch the thieves.
