Texans fans celebrate playoff win
A day that started with fans crossing their fingers for a Texans team that had lost three of its last four games, ended with those Texans being the toast the town for a night.
A seesaw battle with the Bengals in Saturday's Wild Card rematch had fans riding an emotional roller coaster for four quarters at Reliant Stadium.
"This game was good, but they should have beaten Cincinnati by 20 points." said one Texans fan.
A record crowd of 71,738 people converged inside the stadium, while sports bars across the city were filled to capacity with fans waiting to see their Texans make an abysmal month of December a distant memory.
"What do I think? I think we have the most amazing team on the planet," said one Texans fan.
Another fan who left the game said the Texans have more work to do.
"Offense has got to come to the next level, but defense is the real deal," he said. "That's what wins championships."
Celebrating a narrow 19-13 win over Andy Dalton and company, the countdown to kickoff in New England has already begun.
The Texans will next play at New England on Jan. 13.
