A teen said she was approached by a man who offered her $100 and exposed himself to her.
Mariana Trevino said her 14-year-old daughter had a close call at the bus stop on Monday near Westborough Drive and Fort Stanton in West Harris County, while she waited for her younger brother to get dropped off.
"She was waiting there for him to get dropped off and from what she tells me the car pulled up and a man was trying to talk to her," said Trevino.
Her daughter, Melanie Rivas, said the man offered her a ride and when she told him no, he left but quickly came back.
"He drove off but made a u-turn and came back and asked if I was willing to do anything for $100," she said.
Rivas said the man had his car door open and also exposed himself to her.
Rivas ran away and told her dad who called the Harris County Sheriff's Office who are now investigating.
Rivas described the suspect as a man in his 20s who was driving an older model Lincoln Towncar. It was a tan color and did not have tinted windows. She said the man was wearing a full body jumpsuit with a business logo patch on the right chest.
Trevino wants other parents to know this happened so they can tell their kids to be careful.
"Try really hard not to let them walk, try really hard to carpool with someone, they're just not safe out there," Trevino said.
