A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a killing at a southwest Houston sports bar.
Azell Keith Thrasher Jr., 25, has been charged with murder in the death of 26-year-old Lucion Barrett.
Houston police said Thrasher and Barrett got into an argument inside a sports bar in the 9600 block of Plainfield Street about 4 a.m. on Sunday.
Both men were ejected from the sports bar and continued to argue in the parking lot, investigators said.
Thrasher pulled out a gun and fired several shots, wounding Barrett and another man, police said.
Barrett was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he died. The other wounded man was expected to recover.
Investigators said they identified Thrasher as a suspect and arrested him on Tuesday. He has been booked into the Harris County Jail.
