Oct. 16, 2012: Deputies have a lot of questions and not many answers after decomposed skeletal remains are found in a bag in northwest Harris County. Andy Cerota reports.

HOUSTON -

Skeletal remains were found in a bag in northwest Harris County on Tuesday, investigators said.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said they got an anonymous tip about the remains being found next to a church on Walters Road near Old Walters Road about 9 a.m.

Detectives said the remains, which were in a black trash bag, were highly decomposed. Investigators have not said how long the remains were in the area.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine the gender, age and possibly identity of the remains and the cause of the person's death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
