Saturday's weather forecast looks cold, gray for Texans fans

HOUSTON -

Hopefully the Houston Texans can brighten an otherwise gray Saturday with a resounding victory over the Cincinnati Bengals as the NFL playoffs get under way at Reliant Stadium.

For tailgaters and other Texan fans, it would be the only sunshine on an otherwise cold, wintry day.

With a seemingly permanent blanket of clouds overhead and a persistent north breeze, we'll scratch and claw once again to break 50 degrees Saturday afternoon.  Expect another 20 percent chance for scattered light rain during the day, too.

The culprit for our cold, damp, gray weather is an upper-level disturbance that's been churning over the southwestern U.S. since we rang in the new year on Tuesday.  It'll finally begin to lift out as we head into Sunday.  By Sunday afternoon we actually have a good chance to see the sun return and brighten our surroundings once again.  Our rain chances will evaporate and we may actually break 60 degrees for the first time this year!
