A man is wanted in connection with at least four robberies since January.

Houston police said the man walks up to checkout counters as if he was going to make a purchase. When the clerk opens the register drawer, the man reaches in and takes cash, investigators said.

The man has threatened that he has a fun in some of the robberies, police say.

Detectives said the man may be responsible for up to eight robberies, but they've connected him to these four:

  • Jan. 27 at 3:25 p.m. – Sports Authority, 10225 Katy Freeway
  • Jan. 28 at 10:30 p.m. – Walgreens, 8089 Westheimer
  • Jan. 28 at 11:35 p.m. – Valero, 7100 Bellaire
  • Jan. 30 at 5:45 a.m. – Timewise, 11101 South Sam Houston Parkway

The man was described as white or Hispanic and about 25 years old with tattoos on his arms and upper back.

Police said the man has been known to get away in a gray or brown Toyota Tundra.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
