Nov. 26, 2012: A man is facing felony charges after, investigators say, he left a child alone at a home with guns inside. Mary Benton reports.

HOUSTON -

A man is facing felony charges after, investigators said, he left a child alone at a home with guns inside.

Houston police said Christopher Barajas, 30, left the under 15-year-old child at home at his apartment complex in the 8900 block of Broadway near Hobby Airport.

Barajas is accused of leaving the child at home with an unreasonable risk to harm, because of drug paraphernalia and a firearm in the apartment.

According to court documents, Barajas should have taken the child to a designated infant care provider.

Barajas was arrested at his apartment and has been in jail since November 21. No bond has been set in the case.

Police also said Barajas has a criminal history, including convictions of delivery of a controlled substance and burglary of a building.

Court documents didn't list the age of the child, but it's believed to be a baby girl.
