HOUSTON -

Two people were transported to a hospital after a pickup truck crashed into a northwest Houston apartment.

Houston police said the crash happened at an apartment complex on Robert Lee Road near the North Freeway about 2:30 a.m. Friday.

A couple with a small child were inside the apartment. They escaped with only minor injures.

"They were just asleep and had glass all over them," neighbor Nicole Aranda said. "They looked fine, but they went to the hospital to get checked out."

Officials said the damage was extensive. Witnesses said the entire building shook after impact.

"Nobody knew what happened. Then we see the black truck inside the house," neighbor Janet Silva said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Officials have not said if the driver will face charges.
