Former Massachusetts governor and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney spent much of the day Tuesday in Houston meeting with energy executives at a high-dollar fundraising lunch.
Romney met behind closed doors with executives and those willing to pay $50,000 to attend the campaign fundraiser.
"The power in that room is just mind boggling in terms of the energy industry," said Fred Zeidman, who attended the fundraiser.
According to Zeidman, Romney was interested in hearing from local experts, many of whom are critical of President Barack Obama for not developing a strong energy policy.
Romney told the crowd that he will roll our a comprehensive energy policy later this week.
