Jan. 6, 2013: Investigators are calling a major overnight blaze at a west Houston apartment complex is suspicious, and it's now been turned over to the hands of arson investigators. Robert Arnold reports.

SANTA FE, Texas -

A missing 21-year-old woman from Santa Fe, Galveston County, was found safe late Sunday night.

Ashley Collard, 21, disappeared from her home Friday night. She was found by Santa Fe Police and Galveston County deputies around 11:40 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators said Collard was in the 11000 block of 32nd street walking in the road. While she did not appear to have any injuries, she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Over the weekend, family members told Local 2 that Collard has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old and may not realize she needs to ask for help or even accept help if it is offered. The family said Collard had not taken medication for her mental health issues or seizures since she disappeared on Friday.

Searchers found Collard's cellphone in a water-logged ditch on Saturday, but found no other clues regarding her current whereabouts.

Family members said Collard left her home because she was angry about cleaning her room.

"She may be 21 years old but she is an innocent little girl," said Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo with the Galveston Sheriff's Office.

Collard has no friends outside her home, according to the family, and has not been communicating with anyone on the Internet.

"Ashley doesn't have anyone outside her family, friends, or contacts," said Laura Collard, Ashley's mother.

Investigators have not revealed if Collard's 6-month-old black and white Shih Tzu puppy, Krissy, was with her when she was found. She was seen with the dog when she left her home Friday.
