RICHMOND -

A 79-year-old Richmond man who left his home Wednesday morning and hasn't returned is considered missing by police, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.

Wilbur H. Dodd’s caregiver told police she saw the man at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at his home in the 3200 block of Persimmon Grove in the Sweetgrass development, just outside of Richmond, but when she returned Wednesday morning, he was gone.

Dodd, who police said suffers from heart disease and dementia, is described as white, 6-feet tall and 180 pounds. He has white, thinning hair and brown eyes.

The man may be wearing a gray windbreaker, a turquoise color shirt, brown jeans and canvas shoes. Police said he was last seen at a gas station in Houston in the 9300 block of South Main and is allegedly driving a 2005 silver Volvo model S60 four-door vehicle with Texas license plate number BKH-6096.

Anyone with information should call Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at (281) 341-4665.
