March 5, 2013: Police are searching for two men who pushed a customer and terrorized employees when they robbed a pawn shop at gunpoint. Phil Archer reports.

HOUSTON -

Police are searching for two men who held up a south Houston pawn shop.

Houston police said the duo robbed the Cash America store in the 13700 block of Almeda near West Orem about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Detectives said store security video showed the men rushing into the store, pushing past a customer and demanding employees get on the floor.

One of the robbers went behind the counter and forced an employee to open a register while the other robber held a gun to the other two employees, police said.

The robbers grabbed cash and jewelry and ran out the door, investigators said.

Detectives said the robbers' getaway car was found in a nearby neighborhood, but the men were nowhere to be found. The getaway car had been reported stolen, police said.

The robbers wore masks and gloves, so a detailed description of them was not available.

This was the fifth Cash America store to be robbed since July. Police have not said if this one was connected to any of the others.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
