Sept. 13, 2012: Three men storm into a jewelry store, force men to get on the floor and smash cases to steal trash bags full of merchandise, investigators say. Phil Archer reports.

RICHMOND, Texas -

Deputies are searching for three men who held up a Richmond-area jewelry store.

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said that three masked men walked into the Zales store in the 5500 block of state Highway 99 shortly after noon on Saturday.

One of the men was armed with the gun and he ordered employees to get on the floor, investigators said.

The two other men used a hammer and a claw-like tool to break into display cases, detectives said. They raked jewelry into trash bags, officials said.

Deputies said they don't have physical descriptions of the robbers because they wore dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and masks. They got away in a gold-colored Chrysler 300, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
