Investigators need help identifying and finding a man who used a credit card taken during a robbery in The Woodlands.

Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said a 29-year-old woman was walking in the area of Waterway Avenue in The Woodlands about 2 p.m. on Jan. 13 when a man with a gun approached her and took her purse.

Investigators said the thief took off with the purse and got into an older-model maroon-colored van, driven by a second person.

The victim was not injured.

Detectives said the robber is believed to be 20 to 30 years old and around 5 feet 7 inches with black hair. He may be Hispanic, officials said. He wore a grey jacket and dark pants during the robbery, according to officials.

Investigators said they discovered that someone used a credit card at a Houston convenience store that belonged to the woman shortly after the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office – Woodlands Substation at 281-297-6500.
