John Paul Ebarb, 41, has been charged with manufacturing and distribution of child pornography and sexual performance by a child. He is being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.

Montgomery County sheriff's deputies said Ebarb was making child pornography in the New Caney area and sent it to people in other states.

InvestigatorsMan accused of forcing child to perform sex acts said they know of at least one child who was involved, but they are worried that other children may have been involved.

Neighbors who lived close to Ebarb say they are glad he's been caught. "A little safer because there's no telling what all went on down there and who all is involved," said Michelle Frizzell, a neighbor on Wren Road. She told Local 2, "But I feel better knowing that he is off of the streets and my home is safer now."

Montgomery County Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Dan Norris said, "Investigators are interested if anyone may know John Ebarb, they're interested to know if there could be other victims that are out there in our community.

Court documents show Ebarb was convicted of murder in 1997 and was released last year.

Norris said anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Clay Swilling at 281-577-8943, www.montgomerycountycrimestopper.org or 1-800-392-STOP (7867).
