Man, 68, disappears while traveling home

HOUSTON -

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office needs help finding a man who disappeared Sunday night.

According to deputies, Wilbert Neal, 68, left his mother’s home in Hempstead at about 6 p.m. Neal spoke to his mother at about 10 p.m., but his location was not known. He told his mother he was headed to his home in Fresno.

Neal is a black, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has salt-and-pepper, grayish hair.

According to investigators, Neal was last seen driving a gray 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck with Texas license plates AE50713. He was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt with blue writing that reads "Whidby Elementary." He was wearing blue jeans and black shoes.

According to relatives, Neal has high blood pressure and is a diabetic. He has not been diagnosed with any mental dementia, but relatives said he repeats himself when talking.
