Feb. 19, 2013: Police are looking for a man who gunned down a young father at a northwest Houston apartment complex. Courtney Gilmore reports.

A 22-year-old man was shot and killed outside a northwest Houston apartment complex.

Investigators said the victim was talking to another man inside the gates of the Fall Lake apartments, 1415 Greens Parkway, around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Police said the men were heard arguing before the shooting, but what they were fighting about is unclear.

"All I heard were gunshots -- 10 or 20 at the most," Mona Gross said.

Police said between nine and 20 shots were fired.  The victim was hit at least five times.

"We have recovered a few pieces of evidence and possible video," said Roy Swainson with HPD Homicide.

When emergency crews arrived, the gunman escaped the scene in a gray sedan.

Witnesses told police the suspect and victim seemed to know one another.

Local 2 has learned the victim leaves behind two children. His name was not released.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
