Israel and Hamas have agreed to a cease-fire ending days of fierce fighting.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been in the region trying to help broker a truce.

The cease-fire came just hours after a terrorist attack on a bus in Tel Aviv.

The conflict is hitting home in Houston.

Dozens of protesters gathered in Greenway Plaza area to voice their opinions.

People from both sides of this issue held signs waved flags in support.

I don't know if this is really a cause for help, unless Israel really tries to change its attitude toward its occupation and decides to give peace a chance in the Middle East," said Fatima Syed, a protester.

Eli Spector was also at the demonstration

"We are in favor of peace. We want to cease fire more than anybody. We want Israeli civilians to be safe, and I think the cease fire is a great step toward that," Spector said.

Experts were quick to point out the agreement is a cease-fire, not a peace deal, but a a step in the right direction.
